Early Wrestling Career Of Sabu

Sabu got trained by The Original Sheik and he learnt the tricks of the trade very fast. He was a naturally gifted athlete and he was also gifted with a daredevil attitude which made him one of the fiercest and toughest competitors ever. He started off his career in Extreme Championship Wrestling and has been one of the most popular wrestlers to have emerged out of that brand. During his tenure in ECW, he was known for the kind of unimaginable stunts he pulled of and the series of injuries he suffered. He started off with a gimmick that he was a madman who would be freed from the clutches only during the time of wrestling. He went on to have a number of classic matches with Terry Funk, Rob Van Dam, and Taz. During these matches, Sabu has broken almost every bone of his body. He suffered a broken jaw, broke his neck twice during the match, broke his back, tore open his biceps during the match, and many other injuries. However, one astounding fact about Sabu is that he kept coming back even after all these injuries. All these injuries happened while he was competing in a match and despite those severe injuries he never opted out of any match. He did something and went on to continue and finish the match. During a match, he tore open his biceps and blood gushed out like anything and referees suggested him to opt out of the match. But he refused to accept and simply super glued his injury and went back to fighting again. Again, in one of the matches, he broke his jaw in a very bad manner and was in uncontrollable pain. But still he didn’t opt out of the match. He simply taped the broken jaw and went back to wrestling, despite severe pain. All these incidents have made the fans all over the world go crazy over Sabu.

WCW Career Sabu

Sometime later, he joined WCW and started wrestling there. Though he had some memorable matches there, it was not a great stint for Sabu. Some time later, he joined Total Nonstop Action wrestling. In 2002, he made his official debut in TNA and went on to become one of the top stars there. He was there in TNA till 2006 and took part in a variety of matches. In 2006, he joined ECW again and currently wrestles there.
