Melina Perez celebrates her birthday on 9th of March. Melina Perez was a model and has won the crown for Miss California Beauty contest and also an athletic Model for Nike. After having a word with Mike Henderson, Melina decided to become a Professional Wrestler, she also joined Jesse Hernandez’s school of Hard Knocks to train. Melina Perez joined a number of promotions based in California such as EWF (Empire Wrestling Federation) where she continued to wrestle for a number of years with the ring name Kyra. Her fight school comments that Melina had the natural ability out of any women who came to their school. In WWE Melina made her debut in 2002 she then made up to the final 21 in WWE’s Reality Show “Though Enough III” but she was eliminated from the competition in the final cut of the first episode.

In March 2004 Melina debuted in WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) which gave her a good chance to taunt her ex-boyfriend Johnny Nitro. On the 10th of November Melina Perez, Johnny Nitro and Joe Matthews teamed up to be famous with their team name “MNM” (Melina Nitro Matthews) and the team won the OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) Southern Tag Team Championship. When Melina was in the Ohio Valley Wrestling she was not to be seen very often on Television WWE but in an episode of Smack down Melina was shown to be dressed up as a Native American who was serving drinks and food on Thanksgiving. On 29th November, 2004 when the guest General Manager was Randy Orton and had hosted a Diva Lingerie fashion show Melina Perez made her first time appearance in RAW. Melina’s next appearance in RAW was in late 2004 which was in a limbo contest but she ultimately turned back to OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) and MNM (Melina Nitro Matthews). Melina Perez in her career has proudly won the WWE Women’s Championship twice.

Melina Perez can fluently speak both English as well as Spanish as she is from American and Mexican heritage. Melina Perez during her Wrestling career has dislocated her kneecap and her teeth are knocked in by a fellow female wrestler. Melina Perez who is currently dating John Hennigan who also played the role of her on screen boyfriend Johnny Nitro. Melina Perez also had an opportunity like many other WWE Divas to model for the world famous Playboy but, Melina did not like the idea and has expressed the feeling of disinterest for the same.
