Maria Kanellis was a contestant for the RAW Diva Search in the year 2004, wherein impressed all her fans. Later in the same year she also became an interviewer and a backstage correspondent. Maria became a back stage reporter as she loved asking hard Questions even if they were obvious or completely wrong. Before wrestling WWE Maria Kanellis was a contestant for a reality show named Out Back Jack.

Wrestling Career

Maria Kanellis’s first scripted interview which turned out to be ditzness was with the famous wrestler Shawn Michaels where she was referring the wrestler Edge as “The Edge”. In many other interviews such as the ones with Mick Foley, WWE champion John Cena, and The Big Show, her comic skits of her dumbness were seen. During one of Maria’s interviews with Chris Masters she made a Joke out of his nick name “The Master Piece” by pronouncing it “The Masturbate” in front of the whole audience. Maria Kanellis has a number of memorable moments of her interviews. Maria was also doused in chocolate milk in a post match celebration of the great Eugene and William Regal after their victory over the World Tag Team Championship from La Resistance. During her period of wrestling Maria made moves like the Jumping Bulldog and the Bronco Buster. Her Maria Kanellis Theme Music which she uses to enter in WWE was originally a Techno like Theme. The theme by Zebra head “With Legs like that” which was originally meant for Stacy Keibler was given to WWE Maria in May of the year 2006. Maria got her first chance to contest in the Women’s Championship on 10th of April, 2006 in one of the additions of RAW. On October 16th 2006 Maria fought in a Fatal Four Way Bra and Panties match against Victoria, Candice and Torrie and won the match to enter the Semi-finals of the Women’s Championship to face Lita. However on 30th October, 2006 Maria lost the semi-finals of the Women’s Championship against Lita.

Personal Life

Maria has two siblings one is Janny her 17 year old sister, and Bill 22 year old brother who served the National Guard. During her young age in WWE she grew up watching The Hardy Boyz and Lita which she had high respect for. She is currently dating a fellow wrestler CM Punk. Maria had an opportunity to go ahead and model for Playboy like her fellow WWE Divas but she skipped this opportunity, stating that she would not wish to embarrass her sister who was still completing her high school.
