Early Wrestling Career Of Little Guido Maritato

Little Guido Maritato is known for his long stints in both ECW and SmackDown and he is one of the small sized yet technically good wrestlers available in the industry. His wrestling career started off with Billy Robinson, a professional trainer who trained him to become a professional wrestler. Later, Little Guido Maritato went to Japan to take part in shoot style UWF International Promotion. This paved the way for his successful career in the WWE as a professional wrestler.

ECW Career Of Little Guido Maritato

In 1995, he became part of the thriving ECW brand and was called by his ring name Damian Stone. He started off his career under that name and soon it was changed into Little Guido, referring to his small size which has worked at his advantage sometimes and worked at his disadvantage sometimes. He became part of a comic stable called Full Blooded Italians (FBI) and took part in various matches during this time. He went on to have some good matches and sometime later he won the tag team championship successfully with his partner Tony. The team held the ECW Tag Team Championship for around two months and went on to lose it. Little Guido Maritato was an integral part of the ECW history till it went bankrupt in April 2001.

He then moved on to several independent circuit matches and the Ring of Honor and then he came back to the WWE in 2002. He was called by a different ring name called Nunzio and started wrestling again. He enjoyed considerable success in the cruiserweight section and he became one of the noticeable stars in this period. He also joined hands with Vito and they became tag team partners. This went on for some time and Little Guido Maritato had to get separated from Vito as part of the storyline that Vito enjoyed cross dressing.

He then moved to the new ECW brand and has been wrestling in it to date. He has some memorable matches with Kevin Thorn and Johnny Nitro.
