Hulk Hogan Bio
Terry Gene Bollea, popularly known as Hulk Hogan was born on August 11, 1953 as the youngest child of Ruth and Pete Bollea. He started to like wrestling since his high school years. He went to Hillsborough Community College and University of South Florida to study but he never finished it instead he pursued his interest in wrestling.
Early Wrestling Career Of Hulk Hogan
He started his career at a local gym managed by brothers Jack and Jerry Brisco who were already wrestlers during that time. Under them, he joined the matches in Southeast and New Japan Wrestling.
World Wrestling Federation Career (1979-1989)
1979 – He was given the chance to join World Wrestling Entertainment by no other that the owner, Vincent McMahon Sr. He created a new character based on his physical appearance. Resembling, Incredible Hulk, the comic book idol he adopted the name Hulk Hogan. On his debut he fought with Andre the Giant. He emerged the winning and gaining wrestling fans. This formally started his wrestling career.
In 1983, Sylvester Stallone was fascinated with the way that he moves inside the ring. He took him as an actor in Ramboo III. He played the character of “Thunderlips the Ultimate Male”. In 1984, He won his first heavyweight title against Iron Sheik. This started ‘Hulkamania’ fever. He is identified for his handle bar moustache and long white hair plus the feather boas. He also created an image as the wrestler who tears his shirts before and after a fight. He is also identified with these phrase “Whatcha gonna do when “Hulkamania” runs wild on you?” which is like Hulk Hogan music to the fans. In 1987, he made a record by bringing in 93,000 fans for Wrestlemania 3.
At the end of 1980’s he lie lowed from wrestling and started to make movies instead. He starred in several movies like No Holds Barred in 1989 and Mr. Nanny in 1993. He was also working for different charities around the world during this time.
World Championship Wrestling (1994 – 2000)
In 1994 – He joined World Championship Wrestling and earned 6 heavyweight titles.
In 1996 - He changed his image from the good guy to the villain who wears the red and yellow shirt and goes by the name Hollywood Hogan.
World Wrestling Entertainment (2002)
2002 – Hogan and his buddies, Hall and Nash made a comeback to WWE.
Hogan won against Yokozuna in Wrestlemania 8 and got another title.
2005 – He hosts a show; Hogan knows Best which he produces with his family.
