Finlay’s World Wrestling Career

Initially, he started wrestling in Europe and won many more titles in the Joint Promotions and CWA promotion. Finlay made his first appearance in WCW and grabs the attention from the US fans as the Fit Finlay under the nickname of “The Belfast Bruiser", who beat Lord William Regal who had many fans in WWE. In a parking lot brawl that both had many good matches together quite beating in.

He has been considered as one of the strong men to face the contender inside the ring. Originally he works with his grate trade in Europe. Before coming to the US in 1990s Finlay hold 16 great championships in Germany and Great Britain. While entering in WCW, Finlay directly began a strong rivalry with the European person William Regal. Finlay gradually won the Television championship of WCW in 1998 from Booker T, but created his real mark in the Hardcore division of WCW’s.

After two years he controlled to beat top wrestler Booker T who is present King Booker for the World Championship Wrestling for the television title of WCW that he held for many months in the year 1999 where he fought mostly as a hardcore wrestler until Finlay parted ways with World Champion Wrestling.

Finlay’s WWE Career

The WWE Finlay signed on as a Road agent when he bought WCW. After that he had a hand in training more of the WWE Divas for wrestling matches. In the year 2006, Fit Finlay joined on air return to the Smack down show. Even though his starting match against Matt Hardy saw him movable by disqualification no body doubted that Finlay could be reached on 50, is going to be very easy for him.

Finlay backed in a very less time and accomplished quite a more. With the help of well-known little leprechaun character known as little bastard he has involved in grudge with Bobby Lashley and Chris Benoit even won the US title during that time Finlay again had a match with Regal again at the Great American Bash. Eventually, Finlay defended Ric Flair and won US title.

During WCW live match, Finlay suffered a serious leg injury and was away from the WCW matches for small period and then he backed to his local place Great Britain to fight in 2001. Finlay was away from American rings for five years and came to Smack Down series in January 2006 looking for wrestle.
