Carlos Edwin Colon Jr. is a wrestler playing under the World Wrestling Entertainment. He is under contract with the WWE brand RAW. He was born on February 21, 1979 in Puerto Rico. His ring name in the WWE is Carlito and his vital statistics are 220 lbs and 5 foot 10 inches. He initially started wrestling under the World Wrestling Council in 1999 and won several championships there. WWE Carlito is the only wrestler to ever gain championship titles from two different wrestling debuts.
The Carlito bio states that he comes from a family of wrestlers starting from his father, Carlos Colon, who wrestled under the World Wrestling Federation. His two brothers, Eddie and Stacy Colon are also wrestlers who sometimes fight along side Carlito in the WWE. He also has a cousin who wrestles independently. He used to wrestle in his local Puerto Rico but immediately transferred to WWE when the opportunity presented itself to him. Many of his countrymen and fellow local Puerto Rican wrestlers felt that Carlito had done something reprehensible when he transferred to the WWE from his local Puerto Rico World Wrestling Council.
Early Wrestling Career Of Carlito And WWF Career
He started playing the role of a face player but eventually reverted to a heel wrestler when he transferred to Ohio Valley Wrestling. The Carlito wrestler who used to be a goody two shoes was now a sort of bad boy and this resulted to several disagreements with his father and his brother Eddie Colon. Carlito eventually debuted on Smackdown! And here he defeated the then famous John Cena and took from him the title of WWE United States Champion. The Carlito WWE champion did not stay so for long because Cena eventually took it away from Carlito due to a dislocated shoulder injury. While he was recuperating from the injury, there were many stories which the WWE circulated to create a fight between Carlito and Theodore Long. It was a somewhat funny time when Carlito was made to do menial jobs around the arena. Many Carlito videos doing these jobs were shown during fights in WWE. Not long after that, he eventually got better and staged a fight against one of his brothers in Puerto Rico.
Carlito has been teamed up with many different wrestlers during his more recent years fighting under the WWE. Many of his fans have admire him and emulate him by creating Carlito fan fiction and other websites that feature Carlito photos through the years. Several fans have also downloaded the Carlito theme song which is usually played when there is a Carlito entrance in the ring or arena.
