Boogeyman Bio
Amercian Professional Wrestler, WWE’s Boogeyman, was born Martin (Marty Wright) in Phoenix Arizona on October 31, 1964. Wright’s original dream was to pursue a career as a professional body builder. He was marnigally succesful in this pursuit winning some competitions. His most noteworthy achievement in body building is his victory in the men’s over 35 years, super heavy weight division of the 2002 National Physique Committee Southern States Contest on August 2002 at Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Early Wrestling Career Of The Boogeyman
He was invited by WWE officials to come to the WWE developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling for training. He trained from January to June 2005 and started with OVW on June 2005. He defeated Seth Skyfire, Robert Fury and Robbie Dawber during a dark match and announced that he was the Boogeyman. From then on the Boogeyman evolved in to a monster face appearing anytime a wrestler calls his name and attack with out selling any offense received.
He is a very notorious but also very popular wrestler known for weird antics aimed to wreak terror and confusion like reciting nursery rhymes and smashing clocks on his head. He would appear anywhere and almost everywhere unexpectedly backstage repeating his signature antics and ending with the catch phrase “I’m the Boogeyman and I’m comin’ to get cha!.” Then would laugh like a raving lunatic as he exits. Performers who encounter him during these crazy episodes usually get so confused and freaked out while commentators simply make remarks on how unusual the whole situation is.
Boogeyman’s Tactics And Signature
WWE Boogeyman and his crazy persona took worse turn for the worse when during a match he took out a handful of live worms from his pocket and shoved it in to his mouth. This scene including other Boogeyman videos left the crowd, opponent and commentators screaming in disgust. He would eventually continue with these antics while winning numerous matches. Unfortunately, the matches became less about wrestling and more about his antics.
Despite of his weird and sometimes bordering on disgusting pesona, WWF Boogeyman and his character is also colorful and has its own uniqueness that has won him many fans. It is not surprising that this has brought about many Boogeyman fan fiction bits in many websites.
Aside from the antics, he is also has some famous signature moves such as the Big Splash, the Corner Butt Thump, the Two Handed Choke Toss, and the Powerslam. His more recent and popular moves are the Boogeyman Slam or Supernatural Driver, an inverted falling slam, the Goodnight, a pumphandle slam and the Boogeybomb, a a filling chokebomb.
