Armando Alejandro Estrada is an American professional wrestler and wrestling manager. His real name is Hazem Ali and is also known as Osama Rodriguez Alejandro in the ring. Although of Palestinian decent, he was born in Chicago, Illinois and presently resides in Miami Florida. His is currently signed up with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) under the Raw brand. He is also famous or infamous for his Armando Alejandro Estrada entrance wherein he introduces himself in a funny way.
Early Wrestling Career Of Estrada
He began his wrestling career with the Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), the wrestling farm territory of the WWE. He debuted as Osama, a bodyguard of Muhammad Hassan. He was packaged as an anti-American Arab, similar to the Iron Sheik and also joined up with Da Beast as a tag team.
Paul Heyman improved on Ali’s persona by expanding his name to Osama Rodriguez Alejandro and portrayed him as not merely a Palestinian but also as a half Cuban. At this point, he also became a backstage interviewer with Robbie Dawber when not wrestling, as a Spanish language version of OVW. He also started a campaign to be elected as the Dictator of Kentucky, by waving a placard written “Bote for Lola” when in the ring.
World Wrestling Federation Career Of Estrada (2006-2007)
He then transferred to the WWE roster as Armando Alejandro Estrada in April 2006. On the April 3 Raw, he debuted as a Cuban businessman and manager of Umaga who was also on his debut performance. Mocking Ric Flair by telling him he is too old and will soon be eclipsed by a new hero, he lead Umaga against Flair until Umaga defeated Flair in the Backlash pay-per-view event by the end of April.
After Flair’s defeat, Umaga had several unevenly matched fights with him unsurprisingly winning. Estrada was quick to cut promos on Umaga’s invincibility. By the August SummerSlam Umaga was in a heated feud with Kane, which lasted for months. The feud ended at the October 9 Raw, when Umaga defeated Kane with some help from Estrada.
By December the feud was now between Umaga and John Cena for the WWE Championship. In the beginning, Estrada would always manage to come between the two during matches and confrontations. This led to the signing up of a match between Estrada and Cena. Estrada tried to buy off Cena but was refused and in the end Cena defeated Estrada.
Not much has been seen of Estrada except for his appearance and win against Nick Sinn at the Ohio Valley Wrestling last July 7, 2007
